Bicycling & Conservation

Green TNBicycling & Conservation go hand in hand! This form of transportation is definitely the greenest. Wouldn't it be great if most of us could ride a bike to work. Imagine theĀ  money we could save on fuel and the reduction of CO2 emissions we would be responsible for. Bicyclers help with Tennessee's ConservationĀ  first and foremost, by simply riding. As well as riding dry trails, staying on the path, recycling, observing and reporting environmental disturbances, adopting a trail, removing exotic plants, watching out for wildlife and never sending a bicycle to the landfill.

Bicycling Safety

Safety is the key to any bicycling adventure. Wearing the right safety gear can prevent serious injury and even save your life. It is always a good idea to wear a helmet, carry identification, bring along a cell phone, plenty of water, gloves and a first aid kit. Hopefully, you will never need these items while your on your bike journey, but carry them just in case. You owe it to yourself and your loved ones.

Ride For Reading

Ride For Reading LogoRide for Reading's purpose is to distribute books to children who are not fortunate enough to own their own. In low-income neighborhoods, the ratio of books per child is 1 age appropriate book for every 300 Children. Reading is an integral part of education, and without books it is hard to build a strong academic base. Our children need materials to read at home and it is our goal to provide the means.
